Tasso Den/Turkey Tasso (Fried Turkey)

I have posted several fried meat recipes as they are staples in Haitian cuisine specifically when it comes to Fritay (fried foods/appetizers). This one is for the non-red meat and non-pork eaters, Tasso Den/Turkey Tasso which is fried turkey is a great alternative.

The ingredients are similar to the Tasso Vyann Bef (fried beef) I posted a few months ago, and just like I said in that post this recipe comes together pretty quickly so much prep time isn’t needed as it doesn’t take long to clean the turkey.

I served my Turkey Tasso with Banann Peze (fried green plantains) and Diri kole ak pwa nwa (Rice with black beans). I shared the recipe for that in my previous post so click the link to check it out. It was delicious, and I hope you guys try this simple recipe. Ohhh, if you want to turn the liquid the turkey was cooked into a delicious sauce, you can fry some tomato paste and add the liquid, onions, peppers, and that’s it. Check out my Sòs recipe for ingredient amounts.
